Cassi Creek: Monday
has rolled around again. Loki has spent
the day on anti-squirrel duty. The
squirrels know when the door to the deck is closed and ignore Loki’s barks, growls,
and other vocalizations until she realizes that they won’t be leaving without
additional help. Then, she walks over to
one of us and stares at us until we get up and open the door. She chases the tree rats, returns inside, and
inside 5 minutes, the entire scenario starts over.
Tonight we
will be eating bratwurst, cabbage, and navy beans.
