Cassi Road: Stumbled
into something yesterday without intending to revisit it. While looking for units assigned to 1St
Inf Div in VietNam, I encountered a you tube note by a Dust-Off crew member who
indicated that his helicopter bore the name “Iron Butterfly” in white lettering
above the medical/ambulance graphic. I
recall that helicopter very well. I saw
it at Lai Khe, and I believe also at Quon Loi and Loc Ninh.
I’m waiting
for him to respond.
