Cassi Creek: there
has been the incipient threat of rain all day.
Most of the heavier weather is already east of us. Still, there were periods of drizzle during
the morning hike with Mike. The subsequent
trip to the Thompson Produce stand required intermittent wipers.
The trap held
raccoon #5 this morning. It was sprayed
with dark red paint and sent to join a local choir.
Any intent to
write meaningful material has flown today.
My higher functionality has been waylaid by one raccoon, 0.01 inches of
rain, a trap in need of cleaning and disinfecting, 24 ears of corn, 4 Serrano
peppers, 2 baby and two oriental eggplant, and the smug satisfaction found in
the knowledge that dinner is entirely prepped and needs only to visit a 350 °F
oven,
If that
information and those items do not provide you with at least an hour’s amused
guesses at the actual chain of occurrences taking place here this evening, your
muse is in need of further supplication.
Shabbat Shalom!
