Cassi Creek: Three
additional inches of snow this morning but the temperature has risen slightly
above the freezing point of water the whole mess is melting down in preparation
for re-freezing.
Fortunately,
we have no command appointments and laager up or hunker down and spend the day
together doing nothing of consequence.
We finished
the first two seasons of Downton Abbey.
I was un-prepared for the impact that the episodes dealing with WWI and
the Spanish Flu epidemic would have upon me.
After taking an excellent class in military history, I realized how few
U.S. troops were lost compared to those of the European nations. Those losses and the Spanish Influenzae
pandemic that followed wiped entire generations off the earth.
