1 July 2012 They must skip over that bit of history.

Cassi Creek:  Mississippi, that bottom of the bucket state that can’t remember that it was on the losing side of the American Civil War, is ready to be defeated again.
The teavangelists, that part of the state’s populace that rejects any cultural and social change that intersects with the later 19th – 21st century, want to declare war on the U.S. government
“Tea Party leader calls for ‘insurrection’ against Obamacare
Mississippi Tea Party Chairman Roy Nicholson posted a statement at his group’s website on Friday proclaiming, “The US Supreme Court has joined with the Executive and Legislative branches of the federal government in abandoning the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and with that ruling abandoned the People.”
“The all out oppression of all people has begun,” Nicholson continued. “In such cases submission is treason. Treason against the Constitution and the valid legitimate government of the nation to which we have pledged our allegiance for years. To resist by all means that are right in the eyes of God is not rebellion or insurrection, it is patriotic resistance to invasion. . . . May godly courageous leaders rise up in His wisdom and power to lead us in displacing the criminal invaders.”
Once again the inaccurate use of treason shows how poorly educated the teavangelist base seems to be.  “Treason” describes the act of taking up arms against the government.  That seems to be exactly what Nicholson is threatening his historically deficient minions want to undertake.
It amazes me that anyone can believe that a group of civilians pretending to be soldiers has the ghost of a chance against the full might of the U.S. armed forces.  It remains to be seen whether or not this Mississippi teavangelist group is willing to expend their lives, their fortunes, and their “sacred honor” in an effort to overturn the United States Government over the question of universal health care.  It seems that they have no grasp of history and no awareness of how great is the power wielded by the U.S. armed forces and other police forces.  If they are foolish enough to attempt such treason, they will be slapped down quickly and efficiently.
Someone in their organization should sit them down and remind them how the last armed treason Mississippi took part in was resolved.
