al Storm Report

.

We have experienced three periods of extremely heavy rain proceeded by a stong gust front. At the heaviest, the rate of rainfall was 6.92 inches per hour.

We’ve had hail, four episodes, from pea size to dime size, to quarter size, to golf ball sized.

We know of storm damage in the region but other than anxiety and the certainty of the creek coming up, we have little damage. A protective shield on my weather station was broken by hail stones.

That’s how our evening has gone so far.

In contrast, we found a new restaurant in Jonesborough that makes its own pastrami. Fantastic sandwich, great lunch!
