Cassi Creek: The day
comes with the prediction of yet more snow.
The wood stove has been consuming
wood, converting it into ashes, since 1800 yesterday. I’ve kept it going at a low level but it has
just been fed and encouraged to burn more aggressively and efficiently.
Tonight, we
venture back beneath the polar air mass that’s plunging south. The temps have been tolerable for the last
week. That changes tonight.
