11 September 2011 September continues

We have yet to hear back from the animal control officer who responded to our call.
I walked over to the neighbor’s house around 1700.  I knocked loudly on his porch, called his name, repeated several times.  There was no response from within.  I left.
There is a tremendous amount of animosity directed toward us from that house.  To be fair, I don’t care to associate with him or his spawn.  Part of his attitude derives from our refusal to accept his claim to a small corner of our property – our position is supported by deed and survey, his by a mythical water rights grant that he cannot produce, and that was never recorded by the county.  He also believes that we called the TBI to show up at a party he threw.  We didn’t, his choice of associates and invited guests was the source of that visit.  At that time, we still had some hope of a working acquaintance with him.  We’ve long since given up that thought.
Gloria is piled up with a high fever.  The last time she had this type of illness she wound up being hospitalized.  I’m seriously concerned.
I have been lucky enough to get a glimpse of the supernova in the pinwheel galaxy Friday and last night.  The low position where it is located in the sky, relative to our valley wall, along with late sunset and a very bright moon, make it difficult to see and limit the time it is visible with amateur equipment.   I’m happy to have actually seen it.  It is a rare happening to see it almost from onset.
I make no pronouncements concerning the date.  Each of us has our own thoughts on the event.
