Yesterday’s
rain has given way to blue skies and mild temperatures. The rain ended about 1000 today.
I’ve been
waiting for a new medication that was ordered last Wednesday and mailed out on
Friday. I’m not looking forward to this
med as the side effects can be highly unpleasant. Perhaps I’ll get lucky. But until it arrives and I have time to
adjust to it, I won’t know.
The
Presidential debates begin tomorrow evening.
The local voter’s view of Obama is something like the presentation
offered by Auth today.
The local
sources of voter information seem to be akin to those sources pointed out by
Anderson’s cartoon today. It find it tragic that this skewed and distorted
view is so prevalent and so unquestioned by the populace.
The Johnson
City Press, yesterday, questioned as to the damage done to knowledge of science
if creationism is taught in schools here.
There should be no question at all.
Creationism, any sort of Christian mythology, has no place in public
school education.
I expect the letters submitted in response will be frightening to anyone with a rational mind and any real education in sciences.

We can hear
the roar of the creek through closed windows this morning. Or, is that the sound of religious misinformation
rushing through the un-used brains of local students?
