We spent the afternoon running errands in Greeneville. We got haircuts, picked up meds, bought the wrong shaver replacement foil for a Braun shaver, restocked, the cooking wine shelf, and completed a total of 7 stops between 1300 and 1600. That included a very satisfying pulled pork sandwich at Chuck Wagon BBQ.
We left home in rain, missed the heaviest showers, and came home in the rain.
We have a high wind warning for tonight and tomorrow. We’ve already clocked a 22.5 MPH gust.
It has been overcast and damp all day but also has been above freezing. It is 44 now with a forecast low of 42°F. I’d just as soon not burn the stove tonight. This load of wood has been a bit too long and a bit too damp and hard to get lit. Once it ignites, it burns hotly but it takes several hours of coaxing to get a good fire burning.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible after midnight.
We’ll see what the night brings. Just Imagine!
