Slept in this morning as the dog didn't seem interested in waking us up. After a lazy morning of newspapers, coffee, and talking with family the afternoon found us in the pool before the sun crossed the western valley wall.
Wonderful day spent with the love of my life. Tomorrow, back to politics, the evils of the current GOP, and finalizing questions for a telephone town hall with Congressman Phil Roe, R TN.
We went to his local meeting. After reading his summation on line and in the local newspaper, it is apprent that the Congressman heard only what he came prepared to hear. Gloria was nearly hit by one of his supporters who sat in front of us.
Nice people, these of the GOP base.

There was a family sitting in the row in front of us who came with stacks of paper including the draft of HR 3200. During the open mic portion of the evening, while I was standing in line to pose a question, the adult daughter began booing loudly. Gloria first asked her to be quiet then asked her to shut up. The father of the bunch then turned on Gloria, shaking his fist at her, threatening her until she asked if he was going to hit her. He yelled that he would get the cops to have her thrown out,gathered up his papers and left with his spawn.
